The Arts and Crafts show and Food Vendors will be located on the paved parking lot of the museum. All visitor parking will be in the field across the street with easy access to the event. Parking is FREE as is the event itself. | | State of the River Summit 1:00-5:00 in the Auditorium-Calvert Marine Museum The Calvert Marine Museum annually presents a State of the River summit and will focus on Chesapeake's Eastern Oyster. Entitled "The Great Oyster Debate" the summit will bring together scientists, watermen, public policy makers, aquaculturists, and envronmental activitsts to discuss the major initiatives being brought to the fore front by the Economic Impact Statement on the introduction of Asian oysters and the Governor's Oyster Advisory Commission. We invite you to join us for what promises to ba an informative, lively, and passionate debate on the challenges confronting this cultural and economic symbol of the Chesapeake Bay. |

There will be 3 top prizes for floats that participate in the parade. $600.00 worth of cash prizes. All are floats are welcome to participate with pre-registration approval. We need you to participate! Not only do we want floats, we want your marching bands, organizations, drill teams, honor guards, horses, fire equipment, boats, clowns, and the works. Free harbor cruises will be offered on board 2 historic vessels: the 109 year old bugeye, Wm. B. Tennison, and the skipjack Nathan of Dorchester plus: There will be on going environmental exhibits and displays along with non-profit organizations and many children's activities.
